The hotel offers 21 spacious suites from 40 to 130 m², with high vaulted ceilings, hand-picked designer pieces and an uninterrupted view of the marina. The exclusive pool on the roof of the building promises wellness and relaxation in a sublime atmosphere above the city’s roof tops.

Cugó Gran Vittoriosa, set to open in 2024, stands as a new cultural gem in Vittoriosa, Malta. Acquired by Qcoon Real Estate in 2016, the historic Palace of the Captains of the Galleys has undergone meticulous restoration and extensive historical research. The 18th-century building, formerly known as ‘Hotel des Capitanes des Galeres’ in 1741, retains its original façade and historical significance. Internally, it transforms into an exquisite boutique hotel with 18 individually designed suites, offering panoramic views of the Grand Harbour and Valletta. Operated by IBB Hotel Collection, the Cugó Gran Vittoriosa aims to enrich the Maltese hotel market, providing luxury guests with a unique blend of contemporary design and historical charm. Scheduled for full operation by the summer of 2024, the hotel emphasizes sustainability through energy-efficient construction methods, contributing to the further development of Birgu as a must-visit destination.

Although the property is no longer a part of our portfolio, we will always keep it close to our hearts and it will remain an important pillar of how the Cugó Gran brand emerged.
Cugó Gran Menorca is a unique gem, set in magnificent grounds that combine glorious formal gardens and lush green lawns with fertile land planted with home-grown produce and lavender.
Between the main house and a series of charming outhouses that were carefully converted to retain their original features, the estate has 11 exquisitely furnished bedrooms, all washed with soft, natural tones inspired by the rural surroundings and Mediterranean coastline.
